Extreme Tag!
Extreme Tag! was my capstone group project for college. We've been working on the game since October 2022 and is constantly being updated. The game currently features 7 of my levels. Featured are 'Shroomville', 'Moon' and 'The Workshop' (releasing at a later date).
Early Level Design
This is the first level I ever designed for a video game, "Haven". I created the level using Counter Strike: Global Offensive's Source SDK. I worked on the map from April 2020 - December 2022. The map is for the game's feature game mode 'Defuse'. The screenshot features the mid lane of 'Haven'
Fortnite UEFN
With the introduction of Fortnite's Ballistic mode came first person for UEFN. I jumped on this addition to recreate the map 'Haven', featured above, using the Fortnite assets. Buildsburg, while not a complete remake, follows the important beats and flow of the original.
Concept to creation
As a long time fan of arcade respawn shooters, I crafted a map 'on paper' (photopea) that I felt would play perfectly. As every level designer does, I tweaked the layout more times than I could count as I laid it out. What eventually came to fruition is a map that features a multitude of options. You'll find long lines of sight for snipers, medium lines of sight for assault rifles and of course tight spaces for shotguns and smgs. This map, while not fully finished is a great example of trusting the process. I had a messy vision on paper that turned into a neat 3 lane map.
